Help Choosing the Right Tub & Tile Kit

A bathroom refresh starts with surface prep. This kit combines 32 oz / 1 kg of water-based tub and tile paint, hardener, 500 mL Tile & Ceramic Cleaner and application tools.

The added cleaner helps remove buildup before painting. You still need to repair damage and sand as directed. The coating dries to a semi-gloss finish in every color; no separate primer is needed.

Paint locations: Bathroom wall and floor tile, tub interiors, sinks and shower bases on sound, properly prepared surfaces.

Paint-compatible materials: Ceramic, porcelain, acrylic, fiberglass, glass, natural marble and enamel. Do not use on cultured marble, bare metal or powdery, loose or peeling substrates.

Check the cleaner separately: Paint compatibility does not automatically mean the cleaner is suitable for that material. Follow the cleaner label, especially for stone and non-ceramic surfaces.

This kit refreshes the finish; it does not repair cracks, leaks, loose tiles or failed coatings. Resolve those problems first and test a small area before starting.

Clean: On surfaces approved by the cleaner label, spread the cleaner evenly with a suitable scrub pad or brush. Leave for about 15 minutes, rinse thoroughly, then repeat once.

Prepare: Let the surface dry completely. Sand smooth, glossy surfaces as directed, remove all sanding dust and mask nearby areas. The surface must be sound, clean and completely dry before coating.

Cleaning removes buildup; sanding prepares the surface for adhesion. The cleaner does not replace sanding, repairs or removal of failing paint. Follow the supplied labels and manual, including ventilation and protective-equipment instructions.

Mix: Add the supplied hardener to the paint and mix thoroughly. Use mixed paint within 12 hours; follow the kit instructions for the correct mixing ratio.

Coat: Apply at least 2 thin, even coats, with at least 2 hours between coats. Dark base colors may need 3–4 coats, which reduces the area one kit can cover.

Cure: Keep the surface dry for at least 48 hours. Wait 7 days before normal tub or shower use. Touch-dry does not mean fully cured.

Care: Avoid scratching, scraping or rubbing during curing. After use, allow water to drain rather than leaving it standing. Follow the manual for care; the included cleaner is for surface preparation before painting.

Check & Repair

Check the surface material and coating condition. Repair damage and remove failing paint before refinishing. This coating cannot fix leaks, cracks or loose tiles.

Start with a sound surface; test a small area first.

Clean, Rinse & Sand

Follow the cleaner label: apply, leave about 15 minutes, rinse thoroughly and repeat once. Let dry, sand as directed, remove all dust and mask nearby areas.

Cleaner does not replace sanding. Let the surface dry completely.

Mix & Apply

Mix the paint with the supplied hardener as directed. Roll flat areas and brush corners. Apply at least 2 thin coats; dark base colors may need 3–4 coats.

Let the Finish Cure

Wait at least 45 minutes before carefully removing masking tape. Keep the finish dry and avoid scratching, scraping or rubbing while it cures.

1. Why choose the kit with cleaner?

Choose this kit when you want the tub and tile coating, a dedicated surface-prep cleaner and application tools together. Each kit contains 32 oz / 1 kg of paint, hardener and 500 mL Tile & Ceramic Cleaner.

The cleaner helps remove buildup before painting. It does not replace sanding or damage repair, and adding a cleaner does not increase the paint quantity or its coverage. Check the In the Box list for the included tools.

2. Can I use it on my tub, shower or tile?

The paint can refresh bathroom wall and floor tile, tub interiors, sinks and shower bases on properly prepared ceramic, porcelain, acrylic, fiberglass, glass, natural marble and enamel. The finish is semi-gloss in all colors.

Do not coat cultured marble, bare metal, powdery surfaces or loose and peeling coatings. Repair damage before painting. Check cleaner suitability separately on its label: the paint and cleaner do not necessarily have the same material compatibility. Test a small area first.

3. Do I still need to sand or buy primer?

Yes, complete the required sanding. Cleaning removes buildup; sanding smooth, glossy surfaces helps prepare them for paint adhesion. Clean and rinse thoroughly, allow to dry, then sand as directed and remove all dust before coating.

No separate primer is needed for this two-part coating on suitable, properly prepared surfaces. You must mix in the supplied hardener as directed. Neither the cleaner nor the paint replaces repairs.

4. How many kits do I need?

Each 32 oz / 1 kg kit covers up to 50 sq. ft. with 2 coats. Measure the actual area you will paint, including each wall or tub surface, then divide the total by 50 and round up to whole kits.

For example, 75 sq. ft. needs 2 kits at the two-coat coverage rate. This is a planning estimate: rough surfaces, application losses and additional coats reduce coverage. Dark base colors may need 3–4 coats. A kit is not a guaranteed one-bathtub quantity.

Cleaner coverage is separate from paint coverage. Send your dimensions, material and surface photos through chat if you need help planning quantities.

5. How long will my bathroom be out of use?

Plan for cleaning, drying and sanding before painting. Once mixed with hardener, use the paint within 12 hours. Leave at least 2 hours between coats.

After painting, keep the surface dry for at least 48 hours and wait 7 days before normal tub or shower use. Do not treat touch-dry paint as ready for use. Follow the manual and allow for your room conditions when planning the project.

6. Is the included cleaner for the finished coating?

The included Tile & Ceramic Cleaner is intended for surface preparation before painting. Do not assume it is suitable for cleaning the newly painted finish; follow the cleaner label and coating care instructions.

Avoid scratching, scraping or rubbing the coating while it cures. After normal use, allow water to drain rather than leaving it standing. Read the application manual and MSDS in Documents before starting.
