1. Do I need an extra clear topcoat?
Check the instructions and contents of your existing paint kit before ordering. Some kits already include a topcoat or may not require an extra layer.
This is a transparent high-gloss finishing layer for a sound painted surface, not colored paint or a repair filler.
2. Which surfaces and base paints can I use it on?
Use over painted tile, wood, concrete, laminate, vinyl or linoleum. No specific base-paint brand is required. Prepare and paint bare surfaces before adding the topcoat.
The existing finish must be sound, clean, dry and ready for topcoating according to its own instructions. Test a small area first for adhesion and appearance.
3. Why does it look milky in the container?
The coating looks milky in the container and dries clear with a high-gloss finish. The underlying color remains visible, but the added sheen changes how it reflects light.
Test your actual base paint in a small area and let it cure before judging the result. Clear topcoat cannot hide uneven color or defects underneath.
4. Can I coat over peeling paint or a damaged surface?
Do not apply over loose, peeling or unstable coatings. A new clear layer cannot make a failing layer underneath sound.
Address the underlying problem, prepare the surface and confirm that the base coat is ready for topcoating before you begin.
5. How many kits do I need?
Each kit contains 1 kg (32 oz) Part A and 160 g Part B and covers approximately 50–70 sq. ft. with two coats.
For planning, divide your project area by 50 sq. ft. and round up to a whole kit. Coverage varies with surface texture and application. Do not use your base paint’s coverage to calculate topcoat quantity.
6. How many coats do I apply, and when can I use the surface?
Apply at least two coats, allowing at least two hours between coats. Keep the surface dry for 48 hours and allow seven days before normal use.
Follow the base paint’s drying requirements as well. Cool or humid conditions can extend drying time; dry to the touch does not mean ready for regular use.
7. Does a clear topcoat make a wet floor waterproof or slip-resistant?
Do not use a protective finish as a repair for leaks or damaged surfaces. Confirm that the complete coating system is suitable for the specific location.
For a wet floor, check its slip-resistance requirements separately; a clear finish alone does not establish that it is appropriate for that use.
8. How should I care for the finished surface?
Wait until the coating has cured before cleaning. Use the cleaning method recommended for the complete system and avoid abrasive scrubbing.
Protect the surface from unnecessary scraping and concentrated wear. If you need advice on a cleaner, contact us with its product name before use.
9. How do I mix the two components?
Add the entire 160 g bottle of Part B hardener to the entire 1 kg container of Part A and mix thoroughly. Do not apply Part A without its hardener.
Use the mixed coating within 12 hours. Follow the application instructions and work with adequate ventilation.
10. What comes in the box?
The kit includes 1 kg (32 oz) Part A clear gloss topcoat, 160 g Part B hardener, a paintbrush, roller and frame, masking tape, gloves and protective film.
