Refresh a worn or discolored surface while keeping the existing fixture, avoiding a full replacement when the fixture itself is sound. The coating does not repair the fixture. Resolve leaks, structural cracks, active rust, movement or failing coatings before refinishing. Check your material and project size before choosing a kit.

Each kit covers 80–90 sq. ft. Measure the actual surfaces you plan to coat, including the tub walls, rim and bottom or each tile area. Surface condition, application thickness and material losses can affect actual coverage.

No. Clean thoroughly, repair defects, sand as directed, remove all dust and make sure the surface is completely dry. Solvent-free does not remove the need for ventilation and the protective equipment stated in the instructions and SDS.

Prepare the space and tools before mixing. Repair and preparation are essential; a new finish cannot stabilize a failing old coating.

Do not estimate the ratio or divide the components by eye. A partial batch requires the exact ratio and measurement method for the current kit; confirm those instructions before dividing the material.

Use only the matching Part A and Part B for this epoxy system. Do not substitute the Water-Based Tub & Tile Kit hardener. Start only when the surface and tools are ready, and apply within the working window stated for your kit.

Plan for approximately 7 days before normal tub or shower use. Protect the coating from water, cleaners, scrubbing and contact during curing.

Touch-dry or light use does not mean ready for soaking or regular bathing. Follow the current kit instructions and account for the temperature and drying conditions in your room.

The Water-Based Tub & Tile Kit offers a semi-gloss finish, more color and package choices, and thin-coat brush or roller application. It also uses a hardener; water-based does not mean single-component.

Both require suitable surfaces, cleaning, sanding, complete drying and curing. Decide by material, finish, project size and application method rather than assuming one product is right for every bathroom.
