Big improvement to my 80's tub. My large almond colored tub took four coats, two paint kits. The kit has everything I needed from start to finish. The paint needs to be used within 12 hours of mixing, each coat took about thirty minutes with two hours of dry time between coats. I didn't notice any odor to the paint. The finish is not glossy, but more of a matte finish with slight shine. It looks so much better that I will be doing my shower next.

Let me say that it’s only been a few days since I used the product on my formica countertops & it looks good. I can say that so far, so good. Don't have any before pics but It looks great now, I just need to use it for a while to see if paint will stay and not peel. 1 thing I would say it definitely sand your original tub really well. Get a good scuff on surface prior to refinishing. I have used other brands in past and I had issues with new finish peeling in some areas. Only gave 4 stars for durability & longevity because this was a flip house. I can tell you that I dropped a screw driver in the tub 3 days after finished and didn't chip or make a mark. I had been putting up with the hideous “greige” tiles, sink, and fiberglass shower enclosure ever since we bought our house. After loads of research, I decided to try DWIL tub and tile paint. I don’t have a fan in my bathroom, and everything I read about all the alternatives out there (including the one that gets the most hype: rustolem’s tub refinishing paint) were epoxy based, and you had to have major respirator masks to use safely. When I found DWIL, I thought it might be too good to be true, so I decided to try it on the sink first and see how it went, and then decide if I’d do the tile, the floor, and the shower enclosure. Well, not only did it work, but it was almost easy. I mean, sure, I had to take time to tape everything off, and clean things well, but … that stuff is amazing. It took more coats than I expected to not see a little of the greige showing through, but the paint dried so quickly, I was able to go over areas with show-through within an hour of doing a coat. And if I dribbled paint on the floor (which I did a couple times), a wet rag would bring that up easily if it was still wet, or it would scrape off with a scrape razor. No problem.) The sink came out so well, I did the walls and floor and the shower enclosure. My entire bathroom looks completely different. I wound up redoing the ancient 80s wall tiles in the other full and half bath in the house. The shower enclosure took a lot longer, and a lot more coats were needed (I think I did 5), but again, it’s fast applying and drying, so it wasn’t that bad. I recommend buying better rollers - the ones that come in the kit aren’t great, but the paint brush that comes with it is fine. The hardening liquid that comes in the kit isn’t in a great container; I immediately transferred it to a small glass jar and would put the paint into a plastic paint jug so I could do smaller sections instead of prepping the whole can at once. (It’s possible to use the paint you’ve pre-prepped hours after without it hardening: just cover it tightly - the paint brush and roller too - with plastic wrap.) After the DWIL had fully cured, I painted the shower and sink with two coats of polycrylic to give it a bit more shine, but it’s not necessary. The walls and floor didn’t get the polycrylic addition, and they look fabulous too. We’re not planning to sell our house any time soon, but I know the investment of time and energy I made in refreshing our bathrooms with the help of DWIL paint will pay off big-time. They look modern and clean, instead of dull, old, and greige. A (relatively) easy and definitely affordable DIY project that anyone can do.

I do plan on doing this again to a tub in another bathroom can’t wait. I did waited five days before using , also I put a small fan facing in the shower for three days to help with drying… I hope somebody finds it useful. 🌟😃

Very happy with this product I’m glad I’m the first one to review it😃 I don’t usually like to review things I just want to tell the truth I highly recommend this… I used it on my shower sorry the lighting isn’t as bright but it’s very bright white very happy with the look it took me three coats my shower is 26 years old looks brand new very happy with the product would recommend. I do plan on doing this again to a tub in another bathroom can’t wait. I did waited five days before using , also I put a small fan facing in the shower for three days to help with drying… I hope somebody finds it useful. 🌟😃

I have done a lot of research about tile paints and used tub and tile too with my project, this paint exceeded tub and tile. I first purchased it for my wall tiles surrounding my bath tub, I loved it so much I have decided to paint my floor tiles too so bought the second can. while waiting for my can to arrive I painted my vanity sink with tub and tile spray, I had to use 3 cans to achieve the white look but it looked terrible... so I used this paint there too... so overall 2 cans of this paint had been used... 1 can was enough to put 4 coats on my wall and the other can was good for 3 coats of paint on the floor and 4 coats on vanity. over all I am very happy with this paint, shipped and arrived on time, you have everything u need in the package but I didn't not use the kit that came with the tub, no odor at all, easy to use, goes on smooth, dries like there is a coating on the tiles and pass the scratch test too... I gave 5 star for durability too because it pass the scratch test but I have not used the shower yet so not sure how it will hold up with water but from the looks of it, it will be fine. I highly recommend this product. please see before and after pics. :)
