A Beginner's Guide - Click*

1.Surface preparation

Our tools are custom-made for water-based paint and easy for novicesto use.

2.Protect surroundings

Use the provided plastic waterproof cloth and masking tape to protectthe surrounding area during application to prevent paint from splatteringonto nearby surface.

3.Add hardener

Pour the hardener (part B) into the ceramic tile paint (part A) andthoroughly mix them together. The mixed paint must be used within 12 hours after adding the hardener. Please note that the paint without thehardener can be stored for a long time. If you need to apply the paintmultiple times, it is recommended to pour out the amount you need eachtime and add an equal amount of hardener. If the paint is too thick, youcan add water to dilute it (less than 5%).

4.Application

Wear gloves and use the roller and brush provided in the tool kit to applyat least 2 coats, with at least 2 hours between each coat. We recommendusing the roller for flat surfaces and the brush for corners and gaps toachieve a smooth and even finish.

5.Remove tape

After completing the application, wait at least 45 minutes beforecarefully removing the masking tape. When removing, use a knife togently cut the tape, and pull it off at a 45-degree angle.

6.Wait for drying

Allow the painted area to air dry for 48 hours before getting wet, and wait 7 days before using the painted area normally. (Do not scratch, scrape,or rub the painted surface during the drying period.)

7.Clean up

After completing the work, please dispose of all unused materials andwaste in a timely manner. Keep away from children, pets, and thosesensitive to paint fumes; follow all city regulations and properly disposeof waste.

DWIL Tub & Tile Refinishing Kit FAQs

DWIL works best on clean, solid, and properly prepared bathroom surfaces, including porcelain tubs and sinks, ceramic tile, fiberglass tubs, acrylic tubs, shower walls, and bathroom countertops.

Do not use it on artificial marble, metal, plastic, powdery surfaces, peeling coatings, or unstable surfaces. If you are not sure whether your surface is compatible, send DWIL support a photo before starting.

Yes. DWIL can be used on a porcelain tub when the surface is clean, dry, solid, and properly sanded.

For glossy or enamel surfaces, sanding is important because it helps remove the slick surface layer and improves paint adhesion. Apply thin, even coats and allow each coat to dry before recoating.

In most cases, no primer is needed. DWIL is designed to bond directly to compatible tub and tile surfaces after proper cleaning and sanding.

If your surface was previously painted, make sure the old coating is fully cured, stable, cleaned, and sanded. If you plan to use another primer or coating system, contact DWIL support first so we can help check compatibility.

Yes, but darker or heavily stained surfaces may need extra thin coats for full coverage.

For previously painted surfaces, the old paint must be fully cured, firmly bonded, and free from peeling or powdery areas. Sand the surface well before applying DWIL. If the old coating is unstable, remove it before refinishing.

Prep is the most important step. Clean the surface thoroughly, remove soap scum, grease, dust, and loose caulk, then sand glossy areas until they feel dull and slightly rough.

After sanding, wipe away all dust and make sure the surface is completely dry before painting. Better prep helps the coating bond more evenly and last longer.

Add Part B hardener to the paint and stir thoroughly before use. Once mixed, use the paint within the recommended working time.

If your project will take longer, mix and use smaller portions in separate batches instead of mixing everything at once. This helps keep the coating workable during application.

The coating needs time to dry before light handling and more time to reach full hardness. Avoid water contact during the early curing period.

For best results, allow good ventilation, keep the surface dry, and avoid heavy use until the coating has fully cured. Follow the product instructions for exact drying and curing times before using the tub, sink, or shower normally.

After the coating has fully cured, clean it gently with mild, non-abrasive cleaners.

Avoid harsh scrub pads, abrasive powders, sharp tools, or cleaners that may scratch or damage the finish. For sinks or high-use areas, using a soft mat or gentle daily care can help protect the surface longer.
